PICNIC ON THE PLAZA INTRODUCING MISS EMILY DEVINE

Miss Emily Devine started lessons on the violin when she was 5 years old in Evansville, Indiana.  She studied in the Suzuki Violin Program for nine years.  Emily moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she studied under the concertmaster of the St. Louis Symphony for 4 years and participated in the St. Louis Symphony Music School.  She participated in the Aspen, Colorado and Chautauqua, New York Music Festivals.  Moving on, she spent one year studying under the concertmaster with the Toronto Symphony.  Emily received the Grand Prize in the Evansville Philharmonic Young Artist’s Competition and was a finalist in the Indianapolis Young Artist’s Competition.

Emily’s undergrad is in English Literature from the University of Southern Indiana and she is now studying Law at Marquette University anticipating her graduation in 2009.  She will be married to Russian native Vladimir Kasparov this August on the Odyssey Yacht in Chicago.  All of this and she is only 23 years old!

Bring a guest, join us for Picnic on the Plaza and enjoy the talents of

Miss Emily Devine!

Note:  Don’t forget to call the office is you are bringing a guest next week.

MEET JANICE MORGAN, CLUB ADMINISTRATOR

AT PICNIC ON THE PLAZA

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Janice Morgan has accepted the position of Club Administrator for Kiwanis Club of Milwaukee.  Janice will begin her duties on Monday, July 9, 2007.  Please join us in welcoming Janice Morgan this week!

LET’S VOLUNTEER!!!

The Board has made it clear to Janice that all she needs to do is ask for assistance and the members will be there to help her with day-to-day operations, large projects and special events.  We are counting on the Committees to fulfill their obligations when completing committee work.  We have all come to realize the importance of the Club Administrator position.  We must keep in mind that we can’t expect the office to complete all services of the Club.

MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Don’t take a vacation from recruiting new members during the summer months!  We only have three months to meet our membership goals and MUCH WORK TO BE DONE.

Ronald McDonald House volunteer date changed to July 17th!
