CLASSIC  MEETING

 

Our speaker this week is Craig Culver, CEO and Founder of Culver’s Frozen Custard.  By wearing several hats, he has built his career through a commitment to doing what’s right for his customers, employees, franchisees and his family.  The first restaurant opened in Sauk City, WI on July 18, 1984.  The first successful franchise was opened in Baraboo, WI in 1990.  Craig is a member of the National Restaurant Association, a board member of the UW—Oshkosh Foundation, the Bank of Prairie du Sac, Lutheran Social Services, American Family Insurance and the Wisconsin State Historical Society.  Craig and his wife, Lea, have 3 daughters.  They reside in Prairie du Sac, WI

 WELCOME NEW MEMBER

John Lieber introduced new member, Ron Cassidente.  Ron is a Trust Alliance Specialist at Robert W. Baird & Co.  Ron lives in downtown Milwaukee with his wife Carolyn.  He has 2 grown daughters and 2 granddaughters.  Ron loves to read history and biographies.  On summer weekends he portrays the Archbishop of Canterbury in the cast of the Renaissance Faire in Bristol, WI.  Welcome, Ron!

 

LAKE TAHOE STAY WEEK OF 10/12-10/19, 2005

John Koenitzer has offered this lovely time share in Lake Tahoe the week of 10/12-10/19.  Bidding will start at $500 and all proceeds will go to the Mary Chyla Wish Fund.  There are 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room AND a beautiful view overlooking Lake Tahoe.  Let’s bid often and bid high and raise money for Mary’s fund!!

 

TRIP OF THE MONTH RAFFLE WINNERS

CONGRATULATIONS to Dave Drent (where was he anyhow?)  He won the trip for 2 to Las Vegas!!!  2nd Prize of $100 went to Linda Jorgensen on a ticket sold by Steve Jorgensen and 3rd prize of $50 went to Mrs. Sam Lewis on a ticket sold by Sam Lewis. 

 

KICK-OFF OF THE 2005-2006 TRIP OF THE MONTH RAFFLE

Sandy Bailey, Chair of the Fundraising Committee, has announced the official kick-off of the Trip of the Month Raffle will be August 3, 2005.  Each member should set a goal of two ticket sales or make a $120 tax-deductible donation to the Kiwanis Club of Milwaukee Foundation, Inc.  We will again have mini-raffles for those early sellers!  Ticket stubs can be mailed to the office or turned in at a Wednesday meeting with your check or authorization to charge your Kiwanis account.  This is our largest fundraiser of the year, so please start thinking of who you can ask to buy a ticket!!!!
